Pooja Gokul is an artist and art educator. She has completed a degree in Bachelor of Visual arts from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat in 2006. She specialized in Painting. She has taught the Cambridge syllabus at schools like The International School Bangalore and Trio World School for around 5 years. She has conducted workshops for children at the National Gallery of Modern art, Bangalore. She has also conducted art competitions at the Art Bengaluru Forum, UB City, 2010 and 2012.
Her forte lies in portraiture; she creates contemporary portraits with the use of new techniques and traditional material. Calligraphy plays an important part in her pictures, which creates a style and for her art and a new language to the images. The artist works from personal experiences and is creating a sense of positivity through her portraits and text. She has showcased her paintings at the United art fair, Delhi in October 2012.
Her passion for design, has helped her create paintings with the technique of block printing, she has created interesting images with intricacy and detail. Her paintings include portraits and human figures in this style.
